About SWAYAM

SWAYAM stands for “Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds.” It is an online learning platform developed by the Government of India, specifically by the Ministry of Education

SWAYAM offers a wide range of courses, covering various subjects and academic levels, including school education, undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocational courses. The courses are created and taught by experienced faculty members from renowned institutions and universities in India. The platform utilizes modern technology to provide interactive and engaging learning experiences, including video lectures, reading materials, assignments, quizzes, and discussion forums.

About IGNOU

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. SWAYAM is a programme initiated by the Government of India. IGNOU is one of the National Coordinators of SWAYAM to offer courses at various levels. IGNOU is offering more than 200 SWAYAM courses for which enrollment is going on.

Course Fee

• Courses delivered through SWAYAM are available free of cost to the learners.
• if you want a SWAYAM certificate then you should register for the final exams with minimal examination fee (₹ 1000 for most courses).
