About IISER

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) was established by the Government of India at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research. An overarching goal of the IISERs is to enable students to shape the nation by inventing and implementing sustainable solutions for societal problems through research in science. What is Dual Degree Programme?

The BS-MS program is a five-year integrated course that seamlessly combines undergraduate and postgraduate studies. This integration allows students to have a continuous academic journey, reducing the time spent in transitioning between undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded both a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and a Master of Science (MS) degree.

Admission Channels

Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology Channel (www.jeeadv.ac.in)
IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) Channel (www.iiseradmission.in)

Candidate can apply through any one or two or all the three channels.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) exam with science stream from any recognized board.
Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) exam.
